Our process

A clear path, every time.

Six considered steps designed to remove friction, build confidence and deliver outcomes that compound over the long term.

Our approach

MONT, how we work.

Great finance is not just a transaction, it's a partnership.

The Mont way

Built around you, not the lender.

Every engagement follows the same disciplined framework. It's how we make complex finance feel simple, and how we earn the long-term partnerships our clients value.

  1. Step 01

    Discovery

We begin with a relaxed conversation to understand your goals, your circumstances and what success looks like to you. No obligations, no jargon, just a clear picture of where you're heading.

  2. Step 02

    Strategy & options

We assess your position against our full lender panel, model the structures that fit, and present clear options, explaining the trade-offs so you can make a confident decision.

  3. Step 03

    Application

Once you've chosen the path forward, we prepare and submit a meticulously packaged application. The right documents, framed in the right way, with the right lender.

  4. Step 04

    Approval & negotiation

We manage the lender relationship from credit assessment through to discussing the final terms, pricing, structure and conditions, and explain them clearly before you commit. Approval is always subject to the lender's policy.

  5. Step 05

    Settlement

We coordinate solicitors, valuers and the lender to ensure settlement runs smoothly. You stay informed at every stage, and we're there on the day to make sure it lands.

  6. Step 06

    Ongoing review

The relationship doesn't end at settlement. We review your facilities annually, watch the market on your behalf, and reach out the moment a better opportunity appears.

Frequently asked

Finance questions, answered plainly.

Straight answers to the questions we hear most from business owners, investors and home buyers across Australia.

What does a commercial finance broker do?

A commercial finance broker structures and arranges funding for businesses and investors. At Mont Capital we assess your position, match it to the right lender across a panel of 40+ banks and non-bank lenders, prepare the credit submission, and manage the process through to settlement.

What types of finance does Mont Capital arrange?

Commercial property loans, business loans and working capital, asset and equipment finance, residential home loans, SMSF lending, and specialised lending for professionals. Our competitive strength is commercial lending, but we service the full spectrum.

How much does a finance broker cost?

For most residential and commercial loans, Mont Capital is paid a commission by the lender once the loan settles, so there is no cost to you. Where a scenario is complex and requires a fee for service, it is disclosed and agreed in writing before any work begins.

How long does a commercial loan take to settle?

A straightforward residential loan is typically approved within one to two weeks. Commercial and asset finance varies with the structure and security involved, generally two to six weeks from a complete application. We set expectations at the outset and keep you updated throughout.

Can you help self-employed borrowers and business owners?

Yes. A large share of our clients are self-employed, run companies or trusts, or have income that traditional bank channels struggle with. We know which lenders assess these profiles fairly and how to present the submission so it is understood.

Where in Australia does Mont Capital operate?

Mont Capital is based in Sydney, NSW and works with clients Australia-wide. Most of our process runs by phone, video and secure document exchange, so location is rarely a barrier.
